OSTA Seeks Diversity…

In October 2019, the OSTA Board engaged in a Strategic Planning Session to set priorities, focus energy and resources, strengthen operations, ensure that directors and other stakeholders are working toward common goals, establish agreement around intended outcomes/results, and assess and adjust the organization’s direction in response to a changing environment.

During our session, the Board collectively realized that one of our weaknesses was in our lack of diversity.  We need to grow the diversity of our Board. We represent 69,000 park and marina residents from a variety of backgrounds

  • Races & ethnicities
  • Religions
  • Ages
  • Rural & metropolitan
  • Countries of origin
  • Genders
  • Sexual orientations
  • Abilities & disabilities
  • Spoken languages

Because OSTA Board members work on a volunteer basis, the work we do lends itself better to retirees or people who already have jobs in the industry.  We recognize that we lose important voices when our members and directors represent a narrow field of all the park and marina residents we serve.

OSTA Welcomes ALL

We want to hear diverse perspectives, issues, and concerns.  If you do not feel as though your community’s issues are being represented by OSTA, please join us as members or apply to be a Director.  Let us know what is on your mind!
