Sunset Village 55+ Mobile Home Park
Description
On-Site Management is M-TH. 10-4. They manage five other parks in addition to Sunset Village, so they are not always here during those hours. Walking trails is difficult to address. The sidewalks were removed and replaced with rocks; then they added speed bumps; it is very difficult for wheelchairs. Parts of the park are very dark in the evening and not safe to walk.
Park is in NE Salem (Corner of Swegle and Walker).

I’ve been here almost 5 years. Management is on its third round of changes. My rent went from $600+ to over $1000. My current house was installed three managers ago, so some of the things that were supposed to have been done have not been addressed. The handrails on both porches weren’t sanded or finished, so they are already gnarly as well as full of sliver-making material. We no longer have any park meetings. Announcements are sketchy and infrequent and the only event new Management has provided was canceled with no previous notice. Just a note on the door. Not cool.
