MMCRC Offers Info Session Opportunity
The Oregon Manufactured and Marina Communities Resource Center (MMCRC) does SO much for park and marina tenants and they need us to take advantage of the services they are offering. Come find out what they do, what they are working on, and how they can help you when you are in need.
The MMCRC is providing a free Zoom program on Thursday, April 28, from 10 am to noon, on state law covering your tenancies.
The session will introduce MMCRC, its function, and partner agencies and will discuss statutes fundamental to tenant rights. You will be able to ask questions. MMCRC is a part of the Oregon Housing & Community Services. Your annual assessment pays for this program.
It will be a Zoom presentation and should take 90 – 120 minutes.

For those who cannot attend, it will be recorded and available on the MMCRC website the following day: https://www.oregon.gov/ohcs/mmcrc/Pages/index.aspx.
OSTA Has Been Working with the MMCRC to Help Park and Marina Tenants
We’ve been behind the scenes a bit, making fantastic improvements for people that own their manufactured and floating homes and rent their spaces. We’ve been working with the MMCRC to help publish information about Mandatory Mediation and draft a floating home owner and park tenant rights publication – a summary of the laws that protect you!! We have also been working with the MMCRC and the state Dispute Resolution Advisory Committee on providing an attorney to help with tenant marina and park issues. And lastly, we’ve spent time working with MMCRC to help put into place the state system to notify your marina landlords that they will be required to take education classes about Marina Landlord-Tenant Law for the first time! 2022 is the first year since SB 586 was voted into law in 2019 that marina landlords are being required to learn about the law (or face fines) in hopes that there are less violations of the laws. The MMCRC is managing the landlord training process for both park and marina landlords.
