One thing all great parks have in common is a thriving social community within their park. During a recent visit to Gainsborough Park in Eugene, Rochelle Love Elder, OSTA’s Co-Chair, reports that this OSTA Chapter is a shining example of how to do things right. 

Their Chapter meets regularly and nearly 50% of their park residents participate in their social events. During her visit they were planning a community sale, where residents donate items to raise funds for their social group.

They have a musician coming sometime in the fall to put on a community concert and they have a consistent parkwide potluck every month. Their owner/landlord gets 5 star-approval from us.
